Fulham midfielder, Alex Iwobi expressed his deep respect for Everton fans, explaining why he chose not to celebrate after scoring against his former team over the weekend.
Iwobi returned to Goodison Park with Fulham and netted a goal against his old club.

The 27-year-old skillfully maneuvered past two defenders before unleashing a low shot that beat Jordan Pickford at the near post.
“It’s a bit of a bittersweet moment,” he said.
“I’m not going to go and fist pump; I have a lot of respect for Everton. It’s nice to score, but I had to tone down the celebration out of respect for them.”
When asked how it felt to play at Goodison Park one last time, Iwobi shared an emotional response:
“It’s actually kind of sad. I had great times here. It’s a new chapter for them, and hopefully, I’ll get to play in that new stadium.”
He added, “I have a lot of memories here, and it’s something I’ll always look back on.”
Iwobi spent five successful seasons with Everton before moving to Fulham, reuniting with manager Marco Silva.
