Jehovah Shalom – The LORD Is Peace

Origin: Judges 6:24

Story: When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, bringing a message of deliverance from the Midianites, Gideon built an altar and called it Jehovah Shalom, acknowledging God’s peace despite the surrounding turmoil.

Peace in the Midst of Life’s Challenges

Life is filled with challenges, struggles, and uncertainties. Whether we face difficult relationships, financial hardships, health problems, or internal battles with fear and doubt, the need for peace is universal. Yet, as believers, we are not left to find peace on our own. Jehovah Shalom promises to be with us, offering His peace that surpasses human understanding.

In Isaiah 26:3, we are reminded, "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." This perfect peace is the result of fixing our minds on God, trusting Him in every situation. When we know God as Jehovah Shalom, we can rest in His presence, knowing that He is working for our good, even when we cannot see it.
