The newly appointed Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Katsina Sector Command, CC Aliyu Maaji, has warned the Command’s personnel against extorting motorists.

Maaji made this known during his assumption of office in Katsina on Tuesday.

He stated that bribery and corruption would not be tolerated under his leadership, noting that any staff member caught engaging in such practices would face severe consequences, including immediate dismissal.

“Anyone found guilty will be shown the way out,” Maaji warned.

The Sector Commander urged the personnel to align with the Corps Marshall’s policy thrust by dedicating themselves to improving the public image of the FRSC.

Maaji also announced plans to introduce a monthly stakeholders’ forum. He stated that the forum will serve as a platform for increased awareness and collaborative efforts to reduce road accidents.

In his address, Maaji expressed gratitude to the state government and members of the press for their warm reception.

He assured the public that he would focus on ensuring safer roads and driving practices throughout Katsina State. He called on staff of the command to renew their commitment to their duties.

The new commander also appealed to motorists and stakeholders to continue to support the commission’s efforts to reduce road accidents and improve traffic management.
