The incident began on Saturday when the activist was questioned for wearing the police uniform without permission, a move that sparked controversy and drew the attention of law enforcement.

After being invited by the police for further inquiries, VeryDarkMan voluntarily honored the invitation, yet he has since been detained.

Earlier today, VeryDarkMan issued an apology on social media, acknowledging the issue with wearing the uniform.

He expressed regret for any unintended offense caused by his actions, which he described as an attempt to positively represent the police force to the public.

In a video shared on social media, a close friend of VeryDarkMan, known as Scopy Lala, confirmed that the activist had not been released following his appearance at the police station.

Scopy Lala voiced frustration with the authorities, criticizing the Nigerian Police for what he described as a lack of alignment with their claimed role as “the friend of the common man.”

According to Scopy Lala, VeryDarkMan’s intention behind wearing the uniform was to enhance the image of the police in the eyes of the public, not to impersonate or misrepresent the force.
