Four 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) week seven games took place on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Here is a summary of the games. 

Rivers United 2-0 Shooting Stars (3SC)

Rivers United climbed to the top of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table with 17 points after defeating Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan. Aniekeme Okon opened the scoring, while Ndifreke Efiong added a brace (51′, 65′) in the second half to seal the victory.

Plateau United 3-1 Remo Stars
In Jos, Plateau United secured a 3-1 win over Remo Stars. Franklin Ebuka gave the hosts an early lead in the 4th minute before scoring again in the 71st minute to complete his brace. Sadiq Abubakar (64′) and Malik Jabbar (83′) also found the net in this four-goal thriller.

Heartland FC 1-1 Ikorodu City
Ikorodu City earned a hard-fought point on the road with a 1-1 draw against Heartland FC. Salau Yusuf gave the Lagos side an early lead, but Chukwuma Agor equalised in the 66th minute to secure a point for the hosts.

Katsina United 1-0 Akwa United
Katsina United edged out struggling Akwa United 1-0 to claim all three points in their Matchday 7 fixture.
