It has been reported that Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, has achieved remarkable success with his song Essence featuring Tems. The audio version has reached 100 million streams on YouTube, while the music video is approaching 200 million views.

Essence was celebrated as the summer hit when it came out and continued to be recognized a year later. However, in 2021, Wizkid’s hit Essence did not get a nomination for Record of the Year in the 2022 Grammy nominations.
