Bournemouth Players Celebrate Against Arsenal

Bournemouth earned a surprise 2-0 win over Arsenal to end their unbeaten start to the season at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening.

The Gunners were without their star player, Bukayo Saka, who missed out on the clash due to injury he sustained on international duty.

Arteta also handed new signing, Mikel Merino, his first start of the season, while Ben White also returned to the starting lineup.

Arsenal’s William Saliba was sent off after a professional foul on Evanilson after he was put under pressure by Leandro Trossard’s poor pass in the 30th minute.

The Gunners managed to keep the hosts at bay for 40 minutes before going behind through Ryan Christie’s effort in the 70th minute.

Kluivert increased Bournemouth’s lead in the 79th minute from the spot after Evanilson was brought down by David Raya.

The defeat ended Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the season, and they also missed out on the opportunity to go top before Liverpool’s match against Chelsea on Sunday.

The Gunners will be back in action against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium next Sunday, while Bournemouth takes on Aston Villa.
