The Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare has finalized plans to hold the 2024 Nigeria Health Sector-Wide Joint Annual Review (JAR), as part of efforts to improve the health sector.

The meeting, scheduled from November 6th to 8th, 2024, in Abuja, will bring together stakeholders to assess progress and highlight achievements under the newly introduced Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp).

In a statement by the Head, Information and Public Relations, Alaba Balogun, the Ministry said, “The review will include two key sessions: a technical review to evaluate key performance indicators and a high-level political session to secure political support for advancing Nigeria’s health priorities.”

The ministry hopes the JAR will help improve health services across the country by aligning sector reforms with national goals.
