In a recent interview with former skit makers Bae_U, Seun Kuti shared some interesting facts about himself.

Bae_U started off by asking Seun Kuti how it felt to be among the celebrities that weren’t invited to Davido’s wedding. To that effect, Seun Kuti responded by saying that he was deeply hurt, and he couldn’t sleep for over a week.

Seun Kuti also said that Davido often brings a huge crowd into Fela’s Shrine without paying the required gate fee, and they even drink without paying, so the wedding invite snub really got to him.

Going forward, Bae_U asked Seun Kuti what he was doing to uphold his father’s legacy, and he responded by saying that he currently leads a band that was formerly led by his father, and they were nominated for a Grammy once.

On a lighter note, Bae_U asked Seun Kuti about who inherited Fela Kuti’s famous stage underwear. Seun Kuti responded by saying that himself and his brothers inherited them, largely because the husbands of his sisters didn’t have a male member that was big enough to fit into Fela’s underwear.

On the matter of Seun Kuti’s name not being included among the invitees for Davido’s wedding, getting an invite there seemed like a huge deal, even among celebrities. The likes of Nkechi Blessing openly celebrated being invited to the wedding, and she said that she was thankful for being amongst rich people.

Very Dark Man also had a full-blown beef with Iyabo Ojo because of the invite for Davido’s wedding. The controversial activist claimed that Iyabo Ojo was not invited to the main wedding, but instead, her invite was a pass to the after party only, just like other influencers. This analysis turned into a week-long heated exchange between the two power houses.
