Actress Nkechi Blessing has officially reconciled with the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), three years after her suspension from the organization.

The controversy dates back to 2021 when Blessing became embroiled in a heated social media dispute with fellow actor Kehinde Adams, also known as Lege Miami, regarding the arrest of actor Baba Ijesha, who was later convicted of assaulting a minor. Following her critical remarks about TAMPAN’s handling of the situation, Blessing faced suspension from the association.

In a heartfelt gesture, Nkechi Blessing recently took to the stage at the Nigerian Canadian Celebrities Entertainment Awards in Toronto to publicly apologize to TAMPAN. A now-viral video captured the moment she knelt before Bolaji Amusan, TAMPAN’s president popularly known as Mr. Latin, to seek forgiveness.

“I am deeply sorry for all I did. I am so sorry. I beg you from the bottom of my heart to please forgive me. I appreciate the industry. You all made me who I am today. I would not be anyone if not because of you,” Nkechi Blessing expressed, visibly emotional.

The moment was met with warmth as Amusan and fellow actor Odunlade Adekola embraced her on stage. Adekola praised Blessing for acknowledging her mistakes, while Amusan welcomed her back to TAMPAN with open arms. In a heartfelt Instagram post, he commended her courage, stating, “I commend and admire your courage… welcome on board!!!”
